|White bread slice||12 , crusts trimmed|
|Onion and chive flavored cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened|
|Bacon slices||8 , crisp fried and crumbled|
|Canned long asparagus spears||15 Ounce|
|Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted (0.5 Stick)|
|Parmesan cheese||1 Tablespoon, grated|
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
Combine the cream cheese and bacon in a small bowl and mix well.
Spread the bacon mixture on the bread slices, covering them to the edges.
Place one large or two small asparagus spears on each bread slice.
Roll as for a jelly roll and place seam side down on a baking sheet.
Brush with margarine and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cut into bite-size pieces and serve immediately.
