Asparagus Shang Tung
|Asparagus||1 1⁄2 Pound (Trimmed)|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Quart|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Oriental sesame oil||1 Teaspoon|
Cut asparagus diagonally into 1/4-inch pieces.
Bring water to a boil in wok or large saucepan.
Cook for 1 1/2 minutes.
Drain; immerse in cold water several times to cool quickly.
Place asparagus in bowl.
Pour mixture of salt, sugar and sesame oil over asparagus, tossing to coat.
