|Extra virgin olive oil||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Rinse the asparagus. Snap off the hard ends of the spears and discard them.
2. In a medium bowl, toss the asparagus in the oil to lightly coat the spears. Add the salt and pepper.
3. Spread the asparagus on a nonstick or parchment-covered baking sheet, and roast until tender and beginning to brown, about 20 minutes.
