Asparagus Cheddar Dish
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Bread slices||3 , cubed|
|Canned asparagus pieces||32 Ounce, drained (2 cans, 16 ounce each)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Dry white wine||2 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Place butter in a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Microwave at HIGH 30 seconds to melt.
Stir in and toss bread cubes to coat.
Microwave at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp.
Stir several times during microwaving.
Place on a paper towel when crisp.
Place asparagus in a mixing bowl.
Mash to break up slightly.
Remove any tough parts.
Add eggs, wine, and Worcestershire sauce.
Stir in cheese.
Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Microwave at HIGH 4 minutes.
Sprinkle bread cubes over top.
Microwave at HIGH 2 to 4 minutes.
Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
