Extra Special Asparagus

Extra special asparagus is a lovely recipe of asparagus prepared with mushrooms and added veggies. Herbed with parsley, this steamed asparagus recipe is great with any meal as a side.
Ingredients
  Diced onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Green pepper 1 , chopped
  Sliced mushrooms 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Frozen asparagus spears 20 Ounce (2 packages, 10 ounce each)
  Diced pimento 2 Teaspoon
  Chopped parsley 2 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Bring to a boil onion, green pepper, and mushrooms in a saucepan. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain.
2. Steam asparagus until tender, about 12 to 15 minutes.
3. Combine asparagus with onion mixture, and garnish with pimento and parsley
