Egg Biryani refers to a dish made of rice, boiled eggs, several vegetables, and spices. There are several variations of this dish in terms of the ingredients used; however, the basic ingredients, i.e. eggs and rice remain the same in all the recipe variations. Egg Biryani Recipe- Ingredients Used and Preparation Overview
One of the recipes of egg biryani suggests the use of basmati rice, eggs, onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, green chillies, saffron, ginger paste, yogurt, garlic paste, cardamom, oil or ghee, salt, and biryani masala.
Properly washed rice is combined along with water, salt, and cardamom and cooked. Onions, tomatoes, green chillies, garlic, ginger, and coriander leaves are chopped finely and sautéed in frying pan containing some oil or ghee. To this mix, sliced boiled eggs are added, followed by adding spice powder, cooked rice, yogurt, and saffron. The pot is covered with a lid with some hard object on the top, so as to avoid the fumes to come out. The biryani is cooked for a few minutes, and stirred properly before serving.
