Burmese Noodles Recipe- Ingredients Used and Preparation Overview
The ingredients required for preparing Burmese noodles consist of onion, garlic cloves, ginger root, turmeric, paprika, red pepper flakes, mushrooms, noodles, roasted peanuts, tomatoes, snow peas, unsweetened coconut milk, soy sauce, basil, mint leaves, and cilantro.
Mushrooms are soaked in water for a few minutes, and drained, while preserving the liquid. A thick paste is made by grinding together onions, garlic cloves, ginger root, paprika, turmeric, and red pepper flakes. This thick paste is then added to a frying pan containing some oil, cooked for a few minutes, and then combined with tomatoes, coconut milk, and already preserved mushroom liquid. Thereafter, snow peas, mushrooms, soy, and scallions are added, and the entire mix is combined with already boiled noodles. The dish is topped with chopped herbs and peanuts, before serving.
