A typical Bun Bo Hue
The soup is made by boiling beef bones to make a broth. The broth is then flavored with lemon grass, often chilli and shrimp paste. Beef, pork and oxtail slices are dispersed in the broth along with rice noodles. At times, cubes of coagulated blood of pork are also added which gives the soup its dark brown color. The soup is served with shredded cabbage, moon beans, lemon wedges and cilantro.
