Asian Dumpling

Asian dumplings are made in a variety of ways using an array of ingredients. Most Asian dumplings are from China and other South Asian countries. Dumpling fillings range from meat to bean sprouts, vegetables to tofu and seafood paste. Flavorings used are soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, cooking wine, vinegar, etc. The dumplings are either cooked by steaming, baking or deep frying. Dumplings wrappers are made from dough of egg and wheat or rice flour. Wonton wrappers and egg rolls wrappers are also commonly used. Asian Dumplings are mainly eaten as a snack or appetizer or during dim sums.
