Ham Steak Oriental
|Chili sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Smoked ham slice||1 , cut 1 inch thick|
|Green pepper||1 , seeded and cut in 1 inch squares|
|Banana||1 , sliced diagonally in 1 inch pieces|
Mix chili sauce, soy sauce, corn syrup, and lemon juice together in a bowl.
Place ham slice in a shallow baking dish and pour soy mixture over it.
Let stand at room temperature about 1 hour, spooning the marinade over ham occasionally.
Top ham slice with green pepper squares and spoon the sauce evenly over all.
Bake at 325Â°F about 25 minutes, basting occasionally.
Add banana chunks and baste again.
Bake 5 minutes longer.
Remove ham from dish and cut into serving-sized portions.
Serve topped with green pepper, banana, and sauce.
