Grape Sherbet

The Grape Sherbet is a tasty fruit dessert. I served the Grape Sherbet last month for an official party at home and I still get calls for the recipe. Don't miss this Grape Sherbet recipe.
  Unflavored gelatin 1 Tablespoon (1 Envelope)
  Cold water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Unsweetened grape juice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Grated lemon peel 1 Tablespoon
  Non caloric sweetener 24 Teaspoon (Equal To 24 Teaspoons Sugar)
  Egg whites 2
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon

Soften gelatin in cold water in a small saucepan.
Stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved.
Meanwhile, combine the 1 3/4 cups water, grape juice, lemon juice and peel, and sweetener.
Stir in the dissolved gelatin.
Pour into a refrigerator tray and freeze until of mushy consistency, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Beat egg whites and salt until rounded peaks are formed.
Turn mushy grape mixture into a chilled bowl and beat until just smooth but not melted.
Add beaten egg whites and beat until smooth.
Return to refrigerator tray and freeze until firm.
