Miniature Pork Or Chicken Satay
|Pork chop/Pork fillet / chicken fillet||1 Small|
|Green pepper||1⁄2 Small|
|Soy sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
Soak 2 small bamboo skewers in hot water.
Trim fat and gristle from meat and cut into small squares.
Cut onion downward into quarters and separate into petals.
Cut green pepper into squares about same size as meat.
Thread meat, sage leaves and vegetables on to skewers, brush with mixture of soy sauce, oil and pepper and grill, turning and brushing again 2 or 3 times, until meat is lightly browned.
If desired, serve on freshly cooked Chinese noodles (drop into boiling salted water and cook about 5 minutes, then drain) or crisp, shredded lettuce.
