Baked Chicken Oriental
|Broiler fryer||1 (Cut In Serving Size Pieces)|
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Honey||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
Wash chicken pieces; drain.
Shake in mixture of flour, salt and pepper in paper bag to coat well.
Melt 4 tablespoons of the butter or margarine in a baking dish, 13x9x2; roll the chicken pieces, one at a time, in melted butter to coat all over.
Place, skin side down, in single layer in baking dish.
Place baking dish in moderate oven (350Â°); bake for 30 minutes.
Melt remaining 4 tablespoons butter or margarine in small saucepan; stir in honey, lemon juice and soy sauce until well mixed.
Turn chicken; pour honey mixture over.
Bake, basting several times with syrup and drippings in pan, 30 minutes longer, or until tender and richly glazed.
