Oriental Beef Short Ribs
|Beef short ribs||3 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), finely chopped|
|Low sodium soy sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sesame oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground ginger||1 Tablespoon|
|Cider vinegar||1 Teaspoon|
Parboil the ribs for 20 minutes.
(To parboil ribs: cook the ribs for 20 minutes in a steamer rack over a pan of boiling water).
Cool and remove any visible fat.
Place the ribs in a flat glass pan.
In a small bowl, blend the garlic, soy sauce, oil, ginger, honey and vinegar until the honey is dissolved.
Pour the marinade over the ribs, cover the pan tightly and refrigerate for 2-12 hours.
Lightly coat the grill with cooking spray and preheat for 5 minutes.
Grill the ribs for 8-9 minutes, or until the ribs are lightly charred and the meat is completely cooked.
