Salad A La Oriental (China)
|Canned pineapple chunks||16 1⁄4 Ounce, drained|
|Canned bean sprouts||1 Pound, drained|
|Shredded lettuce||2 Cup (32 tbs), chilled|
|Orange sections/Canned mandarin oranges||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Fresh)|
|Chopped cashews||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Mayonnaise||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
Marinate bean sprouts in pineapple syrup for 15 minutes; drain.
Toss together bean sprouts, pineapple chunks, lettuce, orange sections and cashews.
Combine mayonnaise and soy sauce.
Add to salad ingredients and toss gently to coat evenly.
