|Lean ground beef/Lean ground lamb||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Onion||1 , minced|
|Dry milk powder||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
|Farina||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Grated kasseri cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated parmesan cheese||3 Tablespoon|
|Sesame seeds||2 Tablespoon|
In a saucepan, saute the ground beef and onion for 10 minutes.
Season with the salt, pepper and allspice.
Dissolve the milk powder in the water.
Add the melted butter and blend well over low heat.
Add the farina gradually, stirring well after each addition.
Cook about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and cool.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in cheese and one teaspoon paprika.
Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
Layer the meat mixture evenly over the farina.
Combine the Parmesan cheese, sesame seeds and paprika.
Sprinkle over the meat layer.
Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.
If the top browns too quickly, cover with foil and continue baking until done.
Cut into small squares and serve piping hot.
