Feeling Unwell: Korean Kimchi Mackerel Soup

Feeling unwell? When I'm unwell, I think of home. So let me show you how my family uses kimchi and mackerel to make a delicious healing soup. It works because both kimchi & mackerel strengthen our immune system and helps us fight infections. Next time you're unwell, give this a go!
  Sesame oil 1 Tablespoon
  Fermented kimchi 500 Gram
  Water 1 Liter (as needed to cover the kimchi)
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Oyster sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Canned mackerel 1 Can (10 oz)
  Spring onion 3 , cut into matchstick lengths (2 - 3)
For rice
  Rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

1. Rinse the rice three times and pour enough water so that it gets cooked. Place it in a rice cooker and cook until done.

2. In a saucepan, pour the sesame oil and add in the kimchi. Stir for a few minutes.
3. Pour in enough water to the pan and season with soy sauce, oyster sauce and brown sugar.
4. Add in the mackerel and spring onion and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for minute or two.

5. Serve soup with some rice and enjoy!
