Turkish Zucchini Dolmas
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Precooked rice||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped fresh mint leaves/1/4 teaspoon dried mint||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped fresh dill/1/4 teaspoon dried dill||1 Teaspoon|
|Squash zucchini||8 Medium|
|Seasoned tomato sauce||16 Ounce (2 Cans Of 8 Ounce Each)|
Combine first 8 ingredients; mix well.
Cut both ends from zucchini; with apple corer, scoop out centers.
(Chop centers and reserve.) Fill zucchini loosely with meat mixture.
Heat tomato sauce in skillet; add zucchini, the chopped centers, and any leftover meat mixture rolled into balls.
Cover, simmer 30 minutes or till squash are tender.
With Dolmas, you might serve rice pilau; figs, grapes, peaches; coffee, flaky pastry.
