Ingredients
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Saltpeter 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Lean beef 2 Pound, cut across grain into thin slices (Such As Flank Steak)
  Lard/Cooking oil 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Rub salt, saltpeter, and pepper on meat.
Leave in refrigerator for 3 days or more, draining off any liquid that accumulates.
Deep fry in lard heated to 375°F.on a frying thermometer.
