Nilagang baka is one of the most common Pinoy recipe. This is beef with bones cooked and simmered with boiling water on low heat until it becomes very tender.
1 Pound, preferably with bones
2 , chopped into wedges
Beef bouillon cube
2 (If Using Beef Without Bones)
Have some hot water boiling in a pot.
Add the beef and turn the heat on low.
Remove the foam that will soon develop.
Let the beef cook until it becomes so tender that its falling apart.
Add the onion, peppercorn, salt, and beef bouillon cubes.
Once the onion gets cooked, you can add the potato.
When the potatoes are cooked, add the chopped cabbage. Do not overcook the cabbage.
Serve with steamed rice.
