Malaysian Biskut Senyum
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Maida)|
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla essence||1 Teaspoon|
|Arrowroot flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Unsalted roasted peanuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), crushed|
Dry roast the two flours till pink and aromatic.
Cool and sift together.
Mix butter, sugar and the peanuts.
Add the flours and knead into a dough.
Make small balls and flatten them on a greased baking tray.
Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes, or till golden and crisp.
Serve with cream or custard sauce.
