Spareribs Korean Style
|Pork spareribs||4 Pound, cut in individual ribs|
|Soy sauce||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sherry||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Grated fresh gingerroot||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Sesame seeds||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Duck sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Cook ribs in Dutch oven, covered, in preheated moderate oven (375Â°F.) 1 hour.
Drain off fat.
Combine remaining ingredients except 'Duck' Sauce, and marinate ribs in the mixture 30 to 60 minutes.
Lay ribs in one layer on rack in large shallow baking pan and brush with marinade.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400Â°F.) about 20 minutes, brushing several times with marinade.
Ribs can also be broiled (watch carefully) in oven or grilled.
Marinade can be reused.
