Sweet Sour Appetizer Kebabs
|Pineapple chunks||15 1⁄4 Ounce (Juice Pack)|
|Brown sugar||3 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce||3 Tablespoon|
|Cocktail franks/5 frankfurters, quartered||20|
|Green pepper||1 Large, cut into 1 inch pieces|
|Water chestnuts||8 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
In saucepan mix brown sugar and cornstarch.
Slowly add reserved juice, vinegar, and soy; cook and stir till thick and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
On short skewers thread pineapple chunks, franks, pepper squares, and water chestnuts, if desired.
Place on rack in broiler pan; broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat 8 to 10 minutes.
Turn once and baste with soy mixture.
Heat remaining sauce for dipping.
