Ingredients
  Dried apricots 2 1⁄2 Pound
  Dried peaches 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Stoned dates 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Sultanas 2 Pound
  Seedless raisins 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Currants 1⁄2 Pound
  Light brown sugar 6 1⁄2 Pound
  Salt 2 Ounce
  Garlic 1⁄4 Pound
  Ground cloves 1 Ounce
  Cinnamon 1 Ounce
  Cayenne pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Vinegar 2 Pint
Directions

Cut the apricots, peaches and dates into very small pieces.
Wash all the dried fruits.
Cover with water and simmer until tender and thick.
Add the rest of the ingredients and boil rapidly, stirring well, for about 1/2 hour or until the contents of the pan are thick.
Add extra salt if necessary.
Pour at once into hot jars, seal and store for 6 months before using.
