|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Kahlua/Other coffee-flavored liqueur||2 Tablespoon|
|Grand marnier/Other orange-flavored liqueur||2 Tablespoon|
|Cinnamon stick||3 Inch|
|Strong espresso||3 Cup (48 tbs), brewed|
Combine first 5 ingredients in a small saucepan.
Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat, and let cool slightly.
Remove and discard cinnamon stick.
Add espresso, and stir well.
Cover and chill thoroughly.
Pour mixture into freezer can of a 2-quart hand-turned or electric freezer.
Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
Let ripen for 1 hour, if desired.
Scoop granita into individual dessert bowls.
