Saucy Beef Kabobs
|Beef sirloin||1 Pound, cut in 1 inch cubes (16 Pieces)|
|Dry red wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic clove||1 Medium, minced|
|Basil||1⁄8 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Canned condensed golden mushroom soup||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Ketchup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Green pepper||12 , parboiled for 2 minutes (1 Inch)|
In deep bowl, combine meat and wine; refrigerate 2 hours.
Drain, reserving wine.
In saucepan, cook garlic and basil in butter; stir in soup, wine, and ketchup.
Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
Stir now and then.
Arrange alternately on 4 skewers: beef, pepper, and tomatoes; brush lightly with oil.
Place on grill 4 inches above glowing coals.
Cook for 12 to 18 minutes turning and brushing frequently with sauce.
Heat remaining sauce.
