Filipino Pancit Canton

Pancit Canton is a noodle dish that is of Chinese origin. This is prepared pretty much like the Pancit Guisado (Pansit Bihon) though an obvious distinction would be the noodles used (rice sticks vs. flour sticks). This dish closely resembles the Chow Mein but preparation and some ingredients vary.
  Flour sticks/About 500 grams pancit canton 1 Pound
  Oyster sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Garlic 1 Tablespoon, minced
  Ground black pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Chicken stock 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Soy sauce 4 Tablespoon
  Cabbage head 1⁄2 , chopped
  Carrots 2 Cup (32 tbs), julienned
  Pork 2 Cup (32 tbs), thinly sliced
  Sliced chorizo 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shrimps 8 Medium
  Parsley 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped finely
  Onion 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
  Snow pea 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cooking oil 2 Tablespoon

1. In a pan, heat the oil then sauté the garlic and onion
2. Add the pork and cook until the outer part turns light brown
3. Add the soy sauce and cook for 5 minutes
4. Put in the chorizo, oyster sauce, and chicken stock and simmer for 20 minutes
5. While simmering, blanch all the vegetables in a separate pot
6. Put in the parsley and shrimp on the pan where the pork, chorizo, and other ingredients are cooked
7. Add salt and pepper to taste then let cook for 2 minutes
8. Put in the Flour sticks and cook until the liquid has been absorbed by the noodles
9. Add all the blanched vegetables and mix with the rest of the ingredients
10. Serve hot. Share and enjoy!
