Shish Kabob With Italian Seasoning
|Wine vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cooking oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Onion salt||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), split in half|
|Soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Italian seasoning||2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Boneless lamb/Boneless steak||2 Pound|
|Small fresh mushrooms||1⁄2 Pound|
|Tomato wedges||1 Dozen|
|Green pepper||1 (Cut In 1-Inch Squares)|
Combine vinegar, oil, onion salt, garlic, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, and 1/2 cup water in a large mixing bowl.
Cut steak in 1-inch cubes.
Add to marinade and let stand, covered with plastic wrap, at room temperature 5 to 6 hours.
Place meat cubes and desired vegetables noted above alternately on long wooden skewers.
Place 2 or 3 skewers on a dinner plate.
Microwave, uncovered, for about 3 minutes, on high, for medium rare.
Microwave slightly longer for well-done meat (The marinade turns the meat brown while standing, for attracive color in the finished kabobs.)
