Oriental Beef And Vegetables
|Boneless top sirloin steak||1 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Dry sherry||2 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||1 Teaspoon|
|Dry mustard||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Frozen pea pods||6 Ounce, thawed (1 Package)|
|Sweet red pepper||1 Medium, cut into strips|
|Canned sliced water chestnuts||8 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
Slice steak diagonally across grain into 2 1/2 x 1/2 inch strips.
In medium bowl, combine garlic, soy sauce, sherry, water, cornstarch, brown sugar, ginger and mustard.
Add beef, mix well and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Drain, reserving marinade.
Place beef and oil in 2-quart oblong glass baking dish.
Cover with wax paper.
Microwave at high (10) 8 to 10 minutes until beef is no longer pink; stir after 5 minutes.
Add reserved marinade, pea pods, red pepper and water chestnuts.
Microwave at high (10) 7 to 9 minutes until sauce is thickened and vegetables are crisp-tender; stir after 4 minutes.
