|Mangoes||3 1⁄2 Pound (1.6 Kilogram)|
|Granulated sugar||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Water||150 Milliliter (2/3 Cup)|
|White rum||45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon)|
|Lime juice||3 Teaspoon|
Peel mangoes and slice off flesh from pits.
Puree fruit in food processor and transfer to bowl.
Place sugar and water in small saucepan; cook 5 minutes over high heat.
Remove saucepan from heat and let syrup cool.
Add syrup, rum and lime juice to mangoes in bowl; mix well.
Freeze following the directions for your particular brand of ice cream maker.
