This is my version of cooking KARE-KARE. Definitely easy and tasty.
200 Gram (You Can Use String Beans)
Unsweetened peanut butter
Black pepper powder
Kare kare mix
1 Cup (16 tbs) (Mama Sita)
3 (Vegetable Flavor)
2 Clove (10 gm)
1 Cup (16 tbs)
2 Teaspoon (For The Tripe)
Boil the tripe in a large pot for 30-40 minutes add the ginger powder to remove the unwanted smell.
After boiling the tripe, heat the olive oil on high heat, once hot sauteed the onions and garlic. Add the beef, one piece of broth cube, black pepper powder, water and bring to boil until the meat is tender, usually it takes 1 1/2 hour. After 10 minutes of boiling, skim-off the foam from the boiling meat. Add the tripe after 40minutes before the beef is totally tender, after 15 minutes add peanut butter, 1 piece of broth cube, stir and another 15 minutes dissolve MAMA SITA’S KARE-KARE MIX in 50 ml of water, mix within the boiling beef, add the vegetables, last piece of broth cube, simmer until vegetables are cook and serve with shrimp paste on the side.
