Persian Cardamom Cookies

Ingredients
  Soft butter/Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Powdered sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg yolks 2
  Cake flour 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Cardamom 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pistachio nuts 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Beat together butter or margarine, vanilla, and powdered sugar until fluffy.
Beat in egg yolks, one at a time, beating until light colored.
Sift and measure cake flour, sift with cardamom.
Stir flour mixture into butter mixture until soft and well blended.
Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls.
Press a small piece of pistachio in center of each.
Bake on ungreased baking sheets in a 375° oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned.
