Not Fried Asian Rice
|Sesame oil||2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped green onions||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped red bell pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Uncooked converted rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light soy sauce||1 Tablespoon|
Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
Add onions, bell pepper and garlic; cook and stir 1 minute.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; stir in rice and egg whites.
Simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring frequently.
Stir in soy sauce and sugar.
Cook 3 to 5 minutes more until sugar caramelizes.
