|Basmati rice||1 Cup (16 tbs), washed and soaked for 30 minutes and drained|
|Roasted cumin seeds||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dry red chilies||6 (Goan Or Kashmiri)|
|Roasted coriander seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|Cardamoms||4 , shelled|
|Cinnamon piece||1 Inch|
|Garlic||8 Clove (40 gm)|
|Roasted poppy seeds||1 Teaspoon (Khus Khus)|
|Turmeric powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Cubed vegetables||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Potatoes, Carrots, Turnips And French Beans)|
|Shelled green peas||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Fried sliced onions||1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)|
Mix oil, cummin seeds and onion in a bowl and microwave covered for 2 minutes.
Mix in the ground ingredients cover the bowl and microwave further for 2 minutes.
Mix in the rice, cubed vegetables, greenpeas and salt.
Then pour in the hot water and microwave for 20 minutes.
Let it stand for 5 minutes, then fork to loosen up the grains of rice.
Spread out in a serving dish and garnish with fried onions.
