Artichokes

Ingredients
Artichokes- 4 small
Lemon Juice- 1/2 lemon
Boiling Water- 2 cups
Salt- 1 teaspoon
Melted Butter- as desired
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Wash the artichokes and cut the base.
2) Slice each artichoke about 1 inch from top.
3) Cut about 1/4-inch from the tip of each leaf, using the scissors.
4) Remove the leaves and spoon out the hairy choke.
5) Smear the artichoke with the lemon juice.

MAKING
6) In a slow cooker, place the chokes, with water and salt.
7) Put the lid on and simmer for 5 hours.

SERVING
8) Serve hot with melted butter.
