GETTING READY 1) Trim the artichoke from the end of the stem. 2) You may also cut the thorny tip of the leaves. 3) Wash the trimmed artichokes and ensure to remove excess water to avoid becoming it soggy after steaming. 4) Add bay leaf, garlic and celery to the water. 5) Keep in a boiler, the water in which the spices and ingredients are added. MAKING 6) In a steamer, place the artichokes and boil them over the water in which bay leafs and other ingredients are added. 7) Steam the artichokes for 35-40 minutes. FINALIZING 8) Discard the bay leaf and other ingredients from the water. 9) Artichokes are done when outer leaves comes out easily. 10) Remove the artichokes in a platter. SERVING 11) Serve the artichokes with herbed butter sauce.
