Boiled Artichokes

Ingredients
  Artichokes 6 (1 inch cut off top, leaves trimmed with scissors, and stem removed)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Put artichokes in kettle and cover with 4-6 quarts water.
Add salt to water.
Bring to a boil and cook for 30-45 minutes, depending on size.
If a leaf can be pulled off easily, the artichokes are done.
Drain upside down and serve one to a person.
