Frosted Chocolate Apricot Ring
|Vanilla essence||1 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Self raising flour||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Chocolate bits||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Glazed apricot||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|For chocolate frosting|
|Icing sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Prepare as for basic butter cake but sift cocoa with the flour.
Stir Choc Bits and apricots into mixture.
Bake in moderate oven for about 45 minutes.
Chocolate Frosting: Beat butter in small bowl with electric mixer until creamy, gradually add sifted icing sugar and cocoa, then milk; beat until spreadable.
Spread over cold cake.
