Pickled Apricots

Ingredients
  Dried apricots 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cinnamon stick 2 Inch
  Whole cloves 6
  Walnut halves 30
Directions

Rinse apricots.
In saucepan, cover apricots with 1 -inch water.
Cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes.
Drain, reserving 3/4 cup apricot liquid.
In saucepan, combine reserved apricot liquid, brown sugar, vinegar, stick cinnamon, and whole cloves.
Stir in apricots; return to boiling and simmer, covered, 10 minutes more, or till tender.
Cool apricots in syrup.
Refrigerate till ready to serve.
At serving time, remove apricots from syrup.
Fill each apricot half with a walnut half
