Chunky Spiced Applesauce
|Cooking apples||10 Large, peeled, cored and cut into chunks|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Apple juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Place apples and apple juice in a large, heavy pot.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often until apples are crisp-tender.
Stir in sugar and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
Stir in cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
Serve warm or cold.
