|Firmly packed brown sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Pumpkin pie spice||1 Teaspoon|
|Applesauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Browned butter frosting||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer.
Add egg, beating well.
Combine flour, soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice, add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Mix just until blended after each addition.
Stir in raisins.
Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan, bake at 350Â° for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove from oven, cool.
Spread with Browned Butter Frosting.
Cut in squares to serve.
