Lynn demonstrates how to make mashed sweet potatoes with applesauce. This is delicious as a side dish for dinner or a holiday.
2 Pound, peeled and cubed
1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
1 Cup (16 tbs) (chunky or regular)
1. In a pot, place sweet potatoes and cover with water. Simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.
2. Strain the sweet potatoes and place in a large bowl.
3. Add in the butter, maple syrup, applesauce, cinnamon and salt. Mash all the ingredients with potato masher to make smooth paste.
4. Serve mashed potatoes with baked salmon and enjoy!
