Applesauce Topped Beef And Sausage Loaf

Ingredients
For meat loaf
  Ground beef 1 Pound
  Pork sausage 1⁄2 Pound
  Dry bread crumbs/Cracker crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small, minced
  Egg 1 , slightly beaten
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sage 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
For topping and sauce
  Applesauce 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Beer 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Heat oven at 350°F

MAKING
2) To prepare meat loaf in a saucepan mix ingredients.
3) Shape into drawn out loaf.
4) Place in a shallow roasting pan.
5) Bake for 50 minutes.
6) Spoon out fat from pam.
7) Spread 1/3 cup applesauce over meat loaf. Bake for further 10 minutes.
8) To prepare sauce, heat 1 cup applesauce and beer over simmering heat.

SERVING
9) Serve sauce over meat loaf slices.
