Ingredients
  Tart apples 12 , cored, peeled, and chopped
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Grated lemon rind 1 Tablespoon
  Honey 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Put the apples and water in a saucepan, cover, and cook over medium heat until apples are soft, 15 to 20 minutes.
2. Mash apples with a heavy spoon. Stir in the lemon rind, honey, and cinnamon. Serve warm.
