Old Fashioned Applesauce

Ingredients
  Apples 4 Medium, pared, quartered and cored
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Granulated sugar/Packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Heat apples and water in 3-quart saucepan to boiling over medium heat.
Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally to break up apples, until apples are tender, 5 to 10 minutes.
Stir in sugar; heat to boiling.
