Crab Apple Preserves
|Sugar||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Water||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Crab apples||4 Pound|
|Whole cloves||1 Teaspoon|
Combine sugar, water and lemon juice and heat to boiling.
Wash apples, cut into quarters and remove stems and cores.
Add to sirup with spices tied in a bag.
Cook until clear and tender.
Remove spices and pour apples into clean hot jars and seal.
