Apple Roly Poly
|Apples||2 Cup (32 tbs), sliced|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Lemon rind||2 Teaspoon, grated|
|Prepared biscuit dough||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
1.In a bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon rind.
2.Roll dough into a rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
3.Spread with butter and apple mixture; roll up like jelly roll.
4.Wet edges and press together so that juice will not escape.
5.Place roll in a cloth and tie loosely.
6.Steam for 1 1/2 hours.
7.Serve warm with ice cream
