Sifted flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Quick oatmeal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Vegetable oil 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Thinly sliced apples 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 3 Dash
Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Crushed pineapple 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Chopped dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Stewed rhubarb 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Plumped In Water Or Juice)

Sift together salt, flour, cinnamon and soda.
In separate bowl, mix sugar and oatmeal; add to flour mixture.
Stir, then add oil and mix thoroughly.
If the flour mixture is not completely moistened, add a little more oil.
Spread 1/2 mixture in a 9" or 10" square pan; pan down evenly.
Cover with apples; with cinnamon, dot with butter, and spread sugar evenly over all.
Cover with remaining crumb mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until apples are soft when speared with a fork.
Cut in squares when cooled, or can be served spooned while warm.
Delicious either way.
Whipped cream sprinkled with a tiny bit of cinnamon adds a gourmet touch.
Mix with apples before spreading on crumb mixture.
