|Cooking apples||5 Medium, pared and cored|
|Light corn syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Red food coloring||2 Drop|
Place apples in cooking utensil large enough for all apples to sit flat.
Pour mixture of remaining ingredients over apples.
Simmer until liquid is syrupy and apples are soft, turning once.
Serve with turkey and dressing.
