Apple Spinach Saute
|Spinach||20 Ounce, washed, stems removed|
|Onion||1 Large, sliced|
|Red apples||3 , cored, sliced|
|Whipping cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Walnuts||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), chopped|
Dry spinach well; chop coarsely.
In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat; cook onion 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often, until softened.
Add apples; cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender crisp.
Add spinach to skillet; cook, covered, 2 to 3 minutes or until spinach is wilted.
Add cream, salt, nutmeg and pepper.
Cook over medium high heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly.
Serve sprinkled with toasted walnuts.
